Macie Lynn's Blessing

On March 8, 2009 we were able to bless our little girl. As you can see she was beautiful that day. She wore the dress that all the grandaughters in the family have been blessed in, a dress that was once part of my mother's wedding dress. Tara and Kory and the kids came down as did my mother and father. They stayed here a couple of days and the time was a blast.

Some of the blessings Macie recieved were to have a charitable heart and defend the rights of the less fortunate. She was also blessed to discern right from wrong and to spritualy enlighten those around her. Also one of her blessings were to stand as an example to her brother Hunter and teach her mother and father new things each day.

Another beutiful day....

Can you say, "I'm sick of this slow moving economy?". I mean c'mon, I'm in sales and this is definately a rough ride at the moment. I get up, go the office, check on my paper work, check e-mails, call for PO's and then I hit the road and check my accounts and bang doors for new customers. I get a lot of the same old, "Your pricing is great" or "I really want to buy but now we're holding onto every nickel we've got." While I'm doing that I'm also trying to deliver product to the customers. It's tough but its my job and I have to do it. I work to support my family and I can't think of a better reason. My wife and kids mean the world to me and without them I think I would fold as a person. Here's what I did when I got home and I loved it....

I walk in the door and my wife takes Hunter to the grocery store to buy some croisant rolls for chicken salad sandwiches. She leaves me with the newbie Macie. She's not too happy b/c she's hungry and I can't give here what she wants. Luckily my mother and father were there so we passed her around until Misty got home. I played with Hunter tonight and when I say I played with him that means I put together his new car race track about 4 times and put up his sports balls about 5 times. I changed about 6 diapers between him and the newbie and then I fought with him regarding juice or milk. He says he wants juice, I make juice and then he throws it at me b/c it's not milk. I'm laughing at him just thinking about it. But I love him and Macie and my wife. They are good to me and they show me the love I need when I walk in that door.

Macie Lynn Smith

Wow, I can't believe I haven't been on this blog for so long. Shame on me. Well I have great news. We had our baby on 2/1909 at 6:10 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 inches long. She's beautiful and my wife is the greatest person on this planet.

When I think what miracles babies really are I can't help to sometimes get emotional. They have the strongest will to survive and to see them come into this world is nothing short of breath-taking. So this is a shout to my new little angel baby Macie Lynn. I love you very much sweet thing.
